Our history

          San Juan City Senior High School was established with the enormous support of the Local Government Unit and with the continuous works and follow-ups of the Schools Division Office of San Juan.


       It started its classes in June 13, 2016 with 300 students at the Pinaglabanan Elementary School building. It has offered two tracks such as Academic and Technical Vocational and Livelihood(TVL) tracks. Academic strand has four strands that SJNHS- senior high offers, these are Accountancy and Business Management (ABM), General Academic Strand (GAS), and Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and General Academic Strand (GAS) while the second track is Technical Vocational and Livelihood (TVL) that offered two strands only at the beginning of its school year 2016-2017, these are the  Home Economics (HE)Strand Specialization Caregiving NC II and Industrial Arts (IA) Strand Specialization Electrical Installation and Maintenance (NC II). Fortunately, the following year from 2017 up to the present other offerings have been added from HE Strand these are Food and Beverages (FBS), Cookery ,Bread and Pastry Production and Information and Computer Technology (ICT) Strand Animation and Illustration. The enrolment increased from 300 students to 632 on its second year. At present, the enrolment increased from 632 to 757 and still using Pinaglabanan Building. 


        The Senior High has tried to meet and accomplished the tasks and activities required in order to conform the DepEd’s current thrust for the K-12 Program. With the said program, the SHS has and are still preparing, developing and honing the learners’ knowledge and skills making them qualified and matched for the government program’s four (4) exits, namely: job ready, middle level education (TechVoc course), college ready and entrepreneurial capability.
