The Journey of Excellence in Education
Gawad Lunsaran 2025 of the Schools Division Office of San Juan City celebrated the culmination of pedagogical talent, and standing at the forefront of this year’s honorees is Edith Estoesta Alad.
Recognized as the Outstanding Master Teacher, Mrs. Alad has been distinguished for her exceptional contributions to the San Juan City Technical-Vocational and Livelihood Senior High School. This prestigious accolade, part of the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE), is awarded only to those who demonstrate a rare blend of professional mastery, impeccable honor, and a wholehearted dedication to the mission of public education.
A Master Teacher I at San Juan City Technical-Vocational and Livelihood Senior High School, Mrs. Alad specializes in Grade 11 and 12 Caregiving. With 15 years of dedicated public service, she brings a wealth of interdisciplinary expertise to the classroom.
Mrs. Alad’s career is defined by a rare synergy of healthcare expertise and pedagogical mastery. Her foundation is built upon a dual licensure as both a Registered Nurse and a Licensed Professional Teacher, a combination that allows her to bring real-world clinical depth to the classroom. This academic rigor is furthered by her Master of Arts in Education from the University of the Philippines Diliman, where she specialized in Curriculum Studies to help shape the very standards of modern instruction.
Beyond her degrees, she has achieved technical mastery through various national certifications, including Caregiving NC II and Bread and Pastry Production NC II, alongside a Trainers Methodology I credential. Her influence, however, extends far beyond her own classroom; as a longtime Red Cross Youth Adviser and a dedicated curriculum module writer, she has spent years guiding both student leaders and the national educational framework toward a more holistic future.
